Doug Hoeffler, DVM

Veterinarian/Owner

Dr. Hoeffler has been part of Parrett Veterinary Clinic since July 1984 and became the owner in May 1988. He earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University between 1976 and 1984. For decades, Dr. Hoeffler has remained committed to Dr. Leslie Parrett’s original vision—providing outstanding personal veterinary care while maintaining reasonable fees and a supportive, modern workplace for staff. He lives with his wife and three children and shares his home with a beagle named Leah and two cats, Winnie and Shaka/Simba. In his free time, he enjoys reading, fishing, golfing, yard work, and spending time with family.

“For me, being a veterinarian is not a job or profession but a passion. In the 28 years of being a veterinarian, it has never felt like work, but rather a blessing.”
