About Us
Parrett Veterinary Service in Plymouth, Indiana, was founded by Dr. Leslie L. Parrett. Born in Ohio and raised on a farm, Les served in the United States Naval Air Corps during World War II. Following the end of the war, he attended The Ohio State University, where he graduated from their college of veterinary medicine. Moving to Plymouth shortly thereafter, Dr. Parrett originally practiced large animal ambulatory medicine exclusively.
Dr. Parrett opened Parrett Veterinary Clinic small animal service at 901 Lincolnway East in Plymouth in 1966. Dr. Douglas A. Hoeffler joined the practice in 1984 following his graduation from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hoeffler bought the practice in 1988 and kept it at its original location while undergoing several expansions until 2001. In February 2001, Parrett Veterinary Clinic opened a brand new 9,000-square-foot facility at its current location at 750 Columbus Drive, Plymouth, Indiana. In all, Parrett Veterinary Service/Clinic has been serving the Plymouth community and the surrounding areas for more than 60 years.
